This ClinRep® Complete Kit is intended for use with the TOX.I.S.™ System from Shimadzu, an on-line HPLC system, which has been designed for automated drug screening (on-line analysis).

The analytical method allows for the reliable screening of more than 40 different benzodiazepines*, a group of drugs with high potential of abuse, due to their sedative and hypnotic properties.

*Benzodiazepines are a group of acidic, neutral, and weak alkaline drugs. For the screening of alkaline illegal drugs, such as morphine, methadone, and amphetamine, an additional reagent kit is available (order no. 60000)

Shimadzu TOX.I.S.™ / ClinRep® Reagent Kit

RECIPE and Shimadzu are offering a complete solution for the screening of illegal drugs in urine.

The TOX.I.S.™ system from Shimadzu is an on-line HPLC-system with photodiode array detection. It has been designed for the qualitative (and semiquantitative) screening on acute poisoning, drug abuse and doping.

The RECIPE reagent kit ensures a reliable and standardised HPLC analysis with Shimadzu’s TOX.I.S.™ system and contains buffers, an internal standard, a test solution, and an enzyme solution for sample pretreatment. Also, columns and accessories are provided.

The analytical method from Shimadzu allows for an automated sample extraction of more than 300 alkaline drugs of abuse, such as morphin, methadone, and amphetamine. The analyte identification bases on the comparison of retention times and on the comparison with the data of UV spectra libraries. For this purpose, the evaluation software of the system provides an appropriate UV spectra library. Additional compounds can be identified using a spectra library of toxicological relevant substances with approx. 3000 records.
